Thanks! Really, I’m not a pursuer who attempts to do any scientific discipline. I do it because I love weather and because I love picture taking and because every now and then I can assist extinct by reportage terrible weather earlier (or after) monitions go extinct. I conceive that most pursuers fall into this not-scientific discipline mould, though there are some truly awe haemorrhage-edge scientists like Tim Key fruits extinct there tailing every Springtime. Hi! For those of you who’ve been request about photographic camera, scenes, treating etc, here’s the skinny:

The photographic camera scenes should all be embedded in the file’s EXIF information — you can reckon this either in Photoshop by making a “View->File Information->EXIF” or by making a right-click holdings on the data file (assumptive you’re victimization Windows XP.) The photographic camera is an Eos 20D and the lense is the Canyon 10-22 EF-S 3.5-4.5 USM. The station treating was largely curves and levels, some through in RGB, some through with after shift all over the Science lab color. The data files were hit as Canyon Rude .CR2 in the Adobe brick RGB color infinite and emended as 16 spot Fuss. Some photos, like the hit of the barn and the tractor, had got nearly no post treating through to them; others, like the shootings of the mammatus, requisite a slight Luminousness (in Science laboratory fashion) S-curve to convey extinct the definition the swarms and a curved shapes slope on the anchorred to imitate a ND slope filter. I conceive I did a a/b color curves tweak in Science laboratory in some of them as good to break seperate the color keys (Natural, by nature, is flat until you post-process it).

Outstanding shootings - Cues me of my Sooner State hours in the religious service. I was an air traffic accountant in the column and had got to empty due to a twister drawing near the field of battle. We acquired the the bottom of the steps but never acquired extinct the doorway. I could realize blue/green whitening through the bottom of the doorway and idea it was best just to remain lay. After it went across, we moved back upstairs and some of the C5s and C141 transport planes had got been off 90 grades. That’s about as close as I want to come up to one of those thing. Very shuddery!!!!

I would genuinely like to realize a nice variation of some of these motion pictures though, and the “biggified” variants do not do it for me on a 1050×1680 display. I would request a wallpaper excessively… if I did not cognise that lots of citizenry would occupy advantage of it and print their own copies and so on. How about a watermarked high-RES. edition of each file though? That mode it would still yield some of us an thought of the nuances in the pics… and I conceive citizenry would realize.

Hi, Derek! It’s an effect of the lens system, really — I hit that photo with a superwide angle lens system (10mm). This makes everything at the borders stretch extinct a spot and causes vertical logical argument at the borders to flex towards the heart.

I was one of the Canuck (good I’m really American, just go to train in Canada, but who’s reckoning) who you spotty trailing the “Independency Four hours” storm. But cherished to state outstanding line of work on the motion pictures….in spades makes you feel like it was a behemoth starship. We just set up this page today making a random Google search for that day’s Norton, Sunflower State storm. Simply FYI there was seemingly a little twister (so articulated SPC) on the western face of the violent storm (through the hail shot)….score some other one for not nerve to motor through hail barb in going around mesocyclones.
